Brief info

Lisa Campbell provides expertise in Sign Language Interpreting and Deaf Culture. She applies her knowledge to solve complex and challenging issues that organizations face in being compliant with The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 regarding Deaf Community.

In 2003 after freelancing for ten years, Lisa opened Accessible Communication for the Deaf (ACD). ACD was initially set up as a home-based business but quickly grew from serving one major client to becoming the preferred vendor for south, southwest and southcentral Florida, securing contracts for local, national, international and governmental agencies. As CEO, Lisa was responsible for ACD's operations and organizational strategy.

Lisa was named One of South Florida’s Influential and Prominent Black Women in Business for 2011 by Legacy Magazine.

In 2014 after eleven successful years, Accessible Communication for the Deaf joined the San Diego based interpreting and translating company, Interpreters Unlimited (IU Group). Lisa remained with the company as director of sign language services until December of 2017. In January of 2018, with the beginning of a new year and a new life in California, Lisa recognized the need for ADA consulting services and Deaf Hands Connection was founded.
